The conspiracy theory is true: “Apple” admitted that it secretly entertained older “iPhones” for people to buy new ones, and that’s not their only sin

“Apple” confirmed the theory of a plot in which some people long suspected. The technology company admitted yesterday that it had slowed down the performance of older iPhones for at least a year, which caused consumer grief and led to a drop in their trust in Apple, writes Business Insider.

“Apple” has long been a subject of worship among technocrats, but after this confession, their loyalty has been seriously undermined.

Critics have previously blamed Apple for deliberately slowing down the phones to make customers switch to the latest model.

Although Apple acknowledged that it really did practice, the company said it did it for purely altruistic reasons – to prevent older phones from extinguishing.

This reason, however, was not justifying in the eyes of the furious fans. In fact, the Apple announcement only fueled other conspiracy theories.

Apple admitted that it had slowed down the performance of older iPhones

As the company announced, the performances of older “iPhones” have been slow since last year. Apple did not explain why it discovered this practice only after the GeekBench portal, a multiplatform standard for processors, released data-based tables showing how older iPhones do not perform their functions as quickly as they were launched.

Apple’s secret will undoubtedly cause distrust among buyers, as it has now been shown that the company was deliberately hiding something, and admitted it had been caught in the act.

If the company acknowledges that it slows older models of phones a year later, it still does not lie to its customers. Why would users believe in their explanation? And why would they believe they started doing it a year ago.

There are other reasons for doubt that Apple has not fully explained the reasons for such a practice.

The fact is that Apple encourages users to switch to newer models – so the company earns. And this company has a history of artificial display of older models as inferior to the new ones.

Also, the iPhone 3G camera was perfectly capable of recording video, but did not turn that feature on, but switched it to the next model – “iPhone 3Gs”.

And if “Apple” fully honestly explained his motives, now no one will trust them.

“For years, we have been assured that Apple does not slowly keep its older versions of the iPhone up to date, in order to buy new ones. Their reputation for the mysterious slowdown of older models, no matter what the cause, is likely to remain broken for a decade, said blogger Marko Arment.

For years, we’ve reassured people that no, Apple doesn’t secretly slow down their older iPhones to make them buy new ones.

If this must be done, it should be a setting. If it’s on by default, the user should be alerted the first time it happens.https://t.co/kRRmd7mN72
